Growth, change and transitions

Our last week and a half were spent thinking about how much we have all changed over the last school year. Celebrating all we have achieved individually and as a group and thinking about all the skills acquired and just how proud we of each other. We looked at how we can change the properties of media and materials by adding water, sand or mud creating some lovely art work. The children also spent time going over activities that they had previously found difficult and challenging realising just how much easier they now found them, from name, sound and letter recognition to successfully using scissors. The rising fives looked at uniforms they might wear at their new school sharing this exciting transition with the younger children. It was a lovely time for us all and once again there are not many photos as we were so busy enjoying being together before the long summer break.

As the term drew to an end we celebrated our amazing rising fives in our leaver’s celebration thinking about their unique individual contributions to playgroup and how they have all helped shape Community Playgroup into the amazing place it is.

We wish everyone a Happy, Healthy, Joy filled summer and look forward to welcoming children back to the Playhouse after the summer, and also look forward to seeing the rising fives pass by the playhouse on the way to their new classes
