During February we have been exploring lots of different animals and their habitats ,thinking about what they eat, using descriptive language to talk about our favourite animals and also looking at different sources of information. We have learnt about so many different animals from farm animals to all of the creature that live in the seas and oceans. We even created an under the sea display to brighten the playhouse.
We also had lots of fun celebrating Shrove Tuesday by making some pancakes together. The children were superstars carefully pouring and scooping ingredients into the bowl to make the batter. After we had cooked our pancakes we could decide whether to have sugar and lemon or syrup…..some children had everything on theirs!!!!Then we rolled our pancakes ready to eat yum yum!!!! Once we had all tried some pancakes we had a go at flipping some of our cooled pancakes and we were amazed at how high some of the children could flip their pancakes and still manage to catch them in the pans.
