Playgroup Sessions
All Sessions run Monday to Friday during the school term. Children aged 2, 3 or 4 years old are welcome to attend any of our sessions and you can mix and match to get the best fit for you and your child. Children can attend all day, a morning or an afternoon session, with or without lunch.
09:00 – 12:00 Morning Session
12:00 – 12:30 Lunch Session (we can extend lunch sessions to 1 hour on request if space is available)
12:30 – 15:00 Afternoon Session
Please note that all of our costs are covered by County Council funding, termly fees and registration fees. We do not charge for any activities or for snack, nor do we charge top-up fees on funded sessions. We do ask families to provide packed-lunches, nappies, wipes and sun-cream for their child.
Fees and Funding
Fees are payable for any hours (regular or extra) that are not covered by early years funding free hours. Current fees are as follows:
Children aged 2 years £ 7.50 per hour
Children aged 3 years and over £ 6.50 per hour
Please note we have a minimum booking requirement of two sessions per week
Early Years Funding
All children qualify for Cambridgeshire County Council Early Years Funding from the term commencing after their third birthday. This provides 15 hours of funding per child. For eligible families, we also offer 30 funded hours under the Extended Entitlement. Some families may be entitled to claim 15 hours funding from the term following their child’s 2nd birthday too.

We ask families to complete a Funding Claim form which will enable us to claim funding for your child. The form asks you to provide details of both your WCP sessions and any sessions that your child attends at other childcare providers so that we can apply for the correct amount of funding. Please come and talk to us if you have any questions regarding your funding as we realise that when more than one setting is involved it can be complicated!
Playgroup Fees
For any hours not covered by Early Years Funding, the above fee schedule is used. Families are charged at the 2 year old rate until the beginning of the term following their child’s 3rd birthday.
Billing
You will receive a bill on the first day of each half term. We will give you the option to settle either in a lump sum, or by weekly instalments. Payment is due within the first 2 week of term.
Uniform
Uniform is optional. Playgroup t-shirts and sweatshirts can be purchased.

4 Week Notice Period
Please note that if you wish to cancel your child’s place or reduce their hours, we require 4 weeks’ written notice. Fees will be charged in full for the notice period. If notice is not given, 4 weeks’ fees will still be payable in lieu of the notice period.
