Week beginning 7th September 2026

All About Me.

It was lovely to be at the playhouse welcoming back our existing children and also those joining us for the very first time. As we settled back into playgroup life, reforming friendships and bonds and getting to know each other we explored the All About Me theme. We spent time thinking about what makes us unique, what we like and don’t like, who makes up our families and also what we can do.

There were lots of activities that helped to teach, develop and hone our skills all whilst having fun. We had creative activities that sparked artistic flair and also some of our old favourites like bathing the babies which brought out rich descriptive language and also a tea tray where we explored different herbal teas and thought about which one we thought smelt nicest.

Of course there was a sprinkling of familiar toys and cosy stories in our new reading arch to help children feel at home and settled. We also made the most of the dry weather spending lots of time in our garden.
